Back in 1920, the Spanish considered Chefchaouen as a part of Spanish Morocco ,Its people usually wear all types of local hand-made woolen habits ,Also the great variety of woven blankets marks the handicraft industry ,For your pleasure, we will have a whole day hiking over the town and an extensive trip through the Rif Mountains as well. We will start our outing by visiting the Kasabah museum in the heart of the medina ,The kasbah is a reinstated walled castle that now contains an amazing garden , a small Ethnographic Museum with some appealing sights of old Chefchaouen,including the plaza and the kasbah. Fes to Middle Atlas Day Trip will starts at nine in the morning, our expert driver will pick you up from your Hotel/Riad or the Airport in the city to start our trip.
Our day will start with our first destination, Sefrou, we will enjoy discovering this city starting with the waterfalls and architecture in the Old Medina; you will get a chance to visit its souks and explore everything in it, food and the handmade things. This small city becomes a gathering place for the Cherry Festival that is organized in the early spring of every year.
The next destination is Bhalil. It is a Berber Village that well-known for cave-like houses and a calm atmosphere. On this occasion, you can meet locals while having a tour around the city, before driving toward Ifrane or as many people and visitors call it The Switzerland of Morocco, passing by some villages like Imouzar that owns an incredible kasbah upon the Saiss Plateau.
After the tour, we will have our lunch break to continue our trip to Azrou to enjoy the Cedar forest with the fresh air and take some pictures and enjoy playing with the funny and playful monkeys that live here. Next, we will visit Moulay Idriss, one of the spiritual monuments, it is well-known with fascinating natural views and sights and ancient architecture. We will have lunch in a traditional restaurant in MoulayIdriss.
Our day trip will continue to the ancient capital of Morocco, Meknes. It is an old city which is a melting pot mixing the ancient and the modern lifestyles. We will have a tour in this city and visit its fantastic places and monuments, discovering its architecture, streets and walls, and huge well designed gates.
Mentioning the gates, you will have the chance todiscover Meknes’s amazing gates, starting with el-Mansour Gate, one among many which is distinctby its ornaments and huge size, without forgetting to visit el-Hdim square where artisans and local food are made, in addition to Sahrij Swani where people gather to enjoy the place and have memorable time.At the end of our Fes to Volubilis and Meknes day trip, our expect driver will drop you off to your Hotel/Riad or the Airport.
